Brassica oleraceae
This variety is a selection out of Frank Morton�s (Wild Garden Seed) rainbow lacinato. The plants selected for this population were the only ones left standing after a very cold coastal winter. The original rainbow lacinato is a mixed population. This Winter Rainbow has retained a percentage of that variation but seems primarily to give out darker colour plants with curly leaves. Stands out on market table and provide a good source of yummy shoots in the spring in southwestern BC.
