F1. 40 days. Mini daikon with violet skin and crisp flesh streaked with a starburst of purple. Interior colour is more pronounced in cold weather. The flavour is subtly sweet and a bit spicy when raw, but mellows when cooked. Oblong roots grow 7-12cm (3-5) long. Use for kimchi and pickles.
